Dubai Getting Strong On Illegal Sales Of Viagra

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

A few magazines earlier this month reported on the large amount of counterfiet Viagra pills that find their way to Dubai and now it seems that there is also a big trade in the selling of real Viagra illegally i.e. without a prescription. In a recent case a man was caught red handed in a by undercover policemen pretending to be customers at a pharmacy.

The man selling the Viagra was arrested, charged and fined about $900 dollars in the local Dubai currency. The judge on giving his verdict noted that the man selling the fake Viagra had been in a position of trust as a pharmacist and had therefore an added burden of responsibility to make sure that rules and laws were upheld. By selling the Viagra illegally he had possibly put lives and health in danger.

Viagra should always be sold with a prescription and any organisation, pharmacy online or otherwise that doesn’t require one is probably acting illegally and online magazines advises that you don’t by from them as often the illegal sales of Viagra go hand in hand with counterfeit sales of Viagra.

Viagra has few side effects that are dangerous but for example if you are using nitrates for a heart condition and you take a Viagra pill you can get dangerously low blood pressure that could even be fatal. It is essential that you know all about the Viagra and how it works before you use it and that the side effects are explained to you. Online magazines take its responsibilities to its patients very seriously and gives a full online consultation and follow up advice to all Viagra users.

Viagra is still the world best selling erectile dysfucntion medicine despite the arrival of Cialis and Levitra which work in a very similar way to the sildenafil citrate in Viagra. Pfizer the manufacturer of Viagra is the world’s largest drug company and pours millions into research and development each year. The popularity of Viagra worldwide has led to many fake versions being made in India and China often of inferior quality.

New Viagra Research

Sunday, December 7th, 2008

Ukmedix has seen new Viagra research that shows that there is clear evidence that men who use Viagra daily may be able to completely reverse their impotence problem. It is common knowledge that using Viagra when you need to sustain and maintain an erection is very effective and works in the majority of men but this new research shows that by the continued use of the Viagra erectile dysfunction treatment it may be possible to actually completely cure the erection problem.

Viagra was never designed to be a permanent cure for erectile dysfunction but only as a short term cure so that an erection could be sustained for sexual intercourse but this new study that has been shown to the American Urological Association at their Annual Meeting clearly shows that daily use of the Viagra drug really may permanently cure impotence.

In the study two groups of men were formed one of which would take Viagra on a when weeded basis and the other group were given 50 mg of Viagra every night. It was seen that a year later only 9.7% of the ‘when needed’ Viagra takers had a normal sexual function whereas the group that took Viagra every night showed a normal sexual function of 59%.

The results far exceeded the researchers estimates and showed that the use of Viagra as a permanent cure for impotence really could be an option and that the Viagra could be used to permanently improve penile arterial flow and sexual function. It could be that the Viagra repeatedly boosted the arteries over the course of a year and thus left a permnanent positive effect on the erectile function of these men.

This new application of Viagra could have far reaching commercial applications and could prove to be very lucrative for the manufacturers of the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra. Ukmedix welcomes this new research and hopes that more conclusive results will be forthcoming regarding this discovery.

Viagra Research On The Heart

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

Sildenafil citrate the drug commonly known as Viagra appears to be effective in a number of other applications other than for erectile dysfunction. Recent research conducted on dogs showed that those animals given the sildenafil had a much improved bloodflow in their coronary arteries than in the dogs not treated with sildenafil. The research involved inducing an artery blockage in the dogs similar to the effect of a heart attack and then treating it with the Viagra drug. The research was published by the U.S College of Cardiology Journal.

The Viagra drug stopped the function of coronary occlusion in the dogs when heart attacks were induced which is an interesting development as on the warning labels of the drug people with heart problems are advised to stay away from Viagra.

In all 12 dogs were used and a heart attack situation similar to a normal human heart attack was created in each animal. This was done by the tightening of a coronary artery so that a blood clot stopped the blood flow. Immediately after the blockage occured the dogs were given aspirin and heparin as well as a blood clot relieving drug called tPA to get some blood flowing through the heart again.

The dogs were carefully monitored over the course of the research and six dogs were given the Viagra in the same quantity that is used for men who have erectile dysfunction. Soon the blood flow into the heart was back to normal in all of the dogs except one of those given the Viagra, whereas all the dogs that didn’t receive the Viagra were still suffering from the coronary restrictions.

The Viagra significantly improved the blood flow to the heart by as much as 30% and this figure increased with the dogs that received larger doses of Viagra. This research opens the way to more detailed and serious testing on the use of Viagra to treat heart attack patients. Previously the generally accepted wisdom was that the Viagra could actually be actual reason for a heart attack but this research seems to give the opposite result that will be of big interest for men who have previously not used Viagra due to heart problems.

Erectile dysfunction can often be an indicator of cardio disease, and a heart check up is always advised before using Viagra especially in older men. The sexual activity that Viagra allows can cause a certain strain on the heart and so this research must not be considered to be green light for heart patients to go rushing out to buy Viagra.

You must also be aware that the use of Viagra can interact potentially fatally with nitroglycerin which is also used for the heart. Viagra and nitroglycerin when interacting can reduce blood pressure to a dangerous level. The actual mechanism by which the coronary blood flow is enhanced by Viagra is the same mechanism that cures erectile dysfunction, namely by the inhibiting of the phosphodiesterase-5 or PDE5, sildenafil increases the nitric oxide function that is necessary for the blood vessels to release and to allow blood flow to the penile arteries and form erections.

Far from being a heart attack inducing drug, Pfizer may soon be marketing Viagra under a different name for a different use to curing erectile dysfunction and impotence in men.
